December 31, 2009

(West Palm Beach, FL -- March 11, 2009) A Palm Beach County jury today ordered a convicted pedophile to pay $19,269,646 to his victim. The perpetrator, Tim Crowe, committed hundreds of acts of sexual abuse on the victim from the time she was age 3 to almost 9. The crimes occurred in Jupiter,

The survivor, known only as “Jane Doe” to protect her identity under Floridas rape shield law, is now in her early twenties and receives ongoing medical care for the life-long aftermath of this extreme trauma.

On behalf of “Jane Doe,” her trial counsel, Michael Dolce, of the Palm Beach Gardens law firm Slawson, Cunningham, Whalen & Gaspari, made this statement:

“Jane Doe’s courage to bring this lawsuit to trial was never about money. The courage and inner strength of ‘Jane Doe’ cannot be overstated. It was her intent to speak and to inspire the voices of the many other victims who have been silenced by fear and undeserved shame.”

Even though the majority of this verdict will likely never be collected, Dolce added that the case was worthy of every effort and every cost. He and his law firm are committed to protecting children and doing all they can to expose child predators, hold them accountable, and to fight to end the scourge of child sex abuse.
